Excessive licking or scratching behavior can have many different causes. That is why it is important to consult your veterinarian for a suitable diagnosis and treatment. Itchiness caused by an allergy or certain type of food is often the wrongdoer, but excessive licking can also be caused by pain somewhere in your dog’s body. This is often the case for older dogs with arthrosis. In addition, there could be a behavioral cause, such as stress or anxiety. So, the first step is to consult your veterinarian for a good diagnosis and treatment.

 

The next step is to protect the front and/or hind legs. If the dog cannot lick or scratch the affected area anymore, the healing can start. Are you looking for a single front leg protection?
