It’s important that the sleeve is not too tight, but also not too loose!
You don’t want a dog to reach the sensitive areas due to a loose fit or experience discomfort because the fabric is too tight.

Use the MPS Protective Front Leg Single Sleeve for:

✓ Wounds & sutures

The MPS Protective Front Leg Single Sleeve offers gentle, secure coverage for wounds or stitches on one front leg. It helps prevent licking, biting, and contamination — supporting a calm and smooth recovery for your dog.

✓ Skin conditions, hot spots & overgrooming

The sleeve helps cover irritated or sensitive skin, reducing exposure to external triggers while allowing healthy air circulation. It helps discourage excessive licking, scratching, or biting — supporting the management of hotspots, rashes, and overgrooming. A pet-friendly way to promote faster, calmer healing.

✓ Protecting bandages & ointments

It helps keep bandages and topical treatments securely in place. It prevents your dog from scratching or licking them off — supporting effective wound care and uninterrupted healing.

✓ In case of anxiety

Both the MPS Protective Front Leg Single Sleeve and Double Sleeve feature an adjustable closure and soft stretch band that apply gentle pressure around the chest. This secure fit not only keeps the sleeves in place, but also provides a calming effect, ideal for post-surgery recovery or managing stress-related behaviors.

✓ Protecting IV lines

The sleeve acts as a barrier to prevent dogs from licking, biting, or scratching IV lines, helping ensure treatments stay in place and undisturbed.

Key features of the Single Sleeve for dogs

Interchangeable left/right leg

The MPS Protective Front Leg Single Sleeve is designed symmetrically, so it can be used on either the left or right front leg. Simply slide the injured leg into the sleeve, while the other front leg fits comfortably through the opposite opening. One smart design, full flexibility.

â–º How to put the sleeve on?

Adjustable with press studs

While it’s nearly impossible for dogs to remove the MPS Protective Front Leg Single Sleeve on their own, it’s quick and easy for pet owners and veterinarians to use. A combination of durable press studs and a secure inner Velcro layer keeps the sleeve comfortably in place. For the best fit, always fasten at least two rows of press studs. Look for the signature colored press stud, a mark of original MPS quality.

Soft bands and long sleeve

The sleeve is finished with extra-soft, thick elastic bands around the chest and leg. This protective trim helps prevent chafing, friction, and pressure points, even during longer use. Is the sleeve a bit long for your dog? Simply fold it up for a comfortable, customized fit.

Find the right fit for your dog!

The MPS Protective Front Leg Single Sleeve is designed to fit snugly and comfortably — not too loose, and never too tight.

To choose the right size measure the chest circumference around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Then measure the leg length from the inside of the armpit down to the wrist joint of the front leg.

If your dog falls between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller one. Don’t forget to consider fur, body shape, and weight when selecting the best fit.

Great for my shepherd x husky. I got a size large and it fits perfectly, easy to put over her surgical wound. Can be used for both legs. Good material, so breathable.

Ashleigh Cross

I used this instead of a collar to protect a wound after surgery. Tried everything but this was by far the most useful. Also great for covering razor burn after surgery. Size M fits my 20kg Springer well and is easy to adjust around the chest.

L. Cox

Great product! I did put something together myself, but it didn't work great. The MPS-products are really great. I immediately ordered two and am super happy with them.

Jasmine Natalie

My Golden Retriever recently had elbow surgery and I had pre-ordered the MPS sleeve. The clinic was pleasantly surprised, because a collar was not an option for my dog. He leaves the sleeve on nicely and size L fits perfectly. For us this is the best solution and I can definitely recommend it.
