Luckily, MPS® products are designed to let them enjoy all of this in comfort. But how do you keep their recovery wear or the DRY® Cooling Vest for dogs fresh and functional after all that action?

Protective Pet Shirt for dogs, cats and rabbits
The MPS® Shirt functions like a second skin, designed to protect wounds, surgical areas, or skin conditions while offering maximum comfort. To keep it fresh and effective, regular care is essential.
Washing instructions:
Machine washable up to 90ºC / 194ºF
Use a laundry bag to help protect the soft fabric
Do not tumble dry – always let it air dry
Care tip:
We recommend keeping a second shirt ready to go. That way, your pet is always covered, even while one is being washed.
MPS® Protective Front Leg Sleeve (Single and Double)
The MPS® Protective Front Leg Sleeve offers safe and secure protection for one or both front legs during recovery. With integrated Velcro fastenings, proper care helps maintain durability, comfort, and long-term use.
Washing instructions:
Machine wash at a maximum of 90ºC / 194ºF
Always use a laundry bag to prevent fabric wear and to protect the Velcro from lint
Do not tumble dry – air dry only
Care tip:
We recommend having a second MPS-Protective Front Leg Sleeve. That way, your dog remains protected while one is being washed, ensuring uninterrupted care.
DRY® Cooling Vest
The DRY® Cooling Vest helps regulate your dog’s body temperature during warm days, offering relief and comfort when it’s needed most. To keep the cooling performance at its best, proper care is essential.
Washing instructions:
Machine wash at a maximum of 40ºC / 104ºF
Always close the fill cap securely before washing
Use a laundry bag to keep the fabric flexible and protect it from friction with other laundry items
Do not tumble dry, allow to air dry completely
Care tip:
After use, allow the vest to dry fully before storing. This helps preserve its shape and cooling efficiency for the next adventure.
MPS® Protective Head Cover
The MPS® Protective Head Cover is designed to offer soft, secure protection for pets recovering from ear or head-related conditions. Whether it’s post-surgery care, injury protection, or managing chronic conditions, the Head Cover helps keep the area clean, stable, and stress-free.
Washing instructions:
Machine wash at a maximum of 40ºC / 194ºF
Wash pads separately at a maximum of 30ºC
Use a laundry bag to help maintain fabric softness and press studs
Secure all Velcro and press studs before washing to avoid snags and preserve structure
Do not tumble dry, always air dry completely
Care tips:
After each use, check for moisture buildup around the area that cover the ears or head and allow the cover to dry thoroughly. For long-term use or frequent wear, consider keeping a second Head Cover available for rotation, so your pet is never left unprotected during washes.
MPS® Protective Hind Leg Sleeves
The MPS® Protective Hind Leg Sleeves provide safe and comfortable protection for pets recovering from injuries, surgeries, or skin conditions on both hind legs. Designed with mobility and stability in mind, the sleeves help pets heal while continuing to move with full freedom.
To maintain their shape, softness, and performance, proper care is key.
Washing instructions:
Machine wash at a maximum of 90ºC / 194ºF
Always use a laundry bag to protect the fabric and prevent Velcro from collecting lint
Secure all Velcro straps before placing in the wash to avoid wear and tangling
Do not tumble dry, air dry only
Care tips:
Check the sleeves daily for any dirt, moisture or hair build-up, especially around wounds or pressure points. If the sleeves are used frequently, we recommend keeping a second pair on hand to allow for uninterrupted use during washes.
MPS® Protective Top Shirt Dog
The top shirt offers multifunctional protection, ideal for managing hot spots, excessive licking, anxiety, and more. Its design provides flexibility for a wide range of situations while ensuring your pet feels comfortable and safe.
To keep the Top Shirt in top shape, regular care is essential.
Washing instructions:
Machine wash at a maximum of 90ºC / 194ºF
Use a laundry bag to maintain the fabric’s softness and extend its lifespan
Close all press studs and fastenings before washing to protect the structure and prevent damage
Do not tumble dry, always let it air dry
Care tips:
For pets that wear the shirt daily, consider keeping a second Top Shirt on hand to ensure uninterrupted use during wash cycles. After each wash, check the seams and fabric for signs of wear, especially if the product is used post-surgery.
MPS® Protective Pet Boot Dog
Designed to stay securely in place while allowing freedom of movement, the boot protects bandages, casts, or sensitive skin from dirt and moisture. With proper care, the boot remains reusable, clean, and ready for every recovery walk.
Washing instructions:
After each walk, remove the boot and clean it by hand. Avoid using bleach or other harsh chemicals — they may irritate the wound or skin.
Care tips:
Rinse off visible dirt or mud after outdoor use. Keep a second MPS® Protective Pet Boot on hand, especially during longer recovery periods, so your dog always has a clean, dry boot ready.

1. Quick prep before washing
A few simple steps go a long way:
Remove loose hair, mud, or sand before washing. A quick shake or brush can do the trick.
Always close all snap buttons, Velcro fastenings, and buckles to reduce wear and protect the fabric.
If you're washing the DRY® Cooling Vest, loosen the drawstrings to allow for a thorough clean.
2. Preventing odor build-Up
Even when it looks clean, pet wear can carry lingering odors, especially after active use. Here’s how to keep things fresh:
Wash and dry products before storing them, even seasonal items that don’t look dirty. This prevents musty smells and keeps them fresh for future use.
Allow everything to dry fully before reuse or storage.
