HOW TO PUT ON?

HOW TO PUT THE MPS- HIND LEG SLEEVES ON?

The MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves are supplied as two sleeves (left and right) which are secured together with adjustable Velcro® and elastic straps to aid fitting. Both hind leg sleeves need to be used to make sure the sleeves stay in place.

Step 1: Put the MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1® on by inserting the head first followed by each front leg separately into the openings provided. Close the MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1® around the chest with the adjustable Velcro. If you want a more calming effect slightly increase the pressure.

Step 2: Separate the MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves. Put a hind leg in the first sleeve.

Step 3: Put the other leg in the second sleeve.

Step 4: Attach both sleeves to each other with the Velcro® closure on the back part near the base of the tail. Make sure that the sleeve with the MPS® logo on it is on the right hind leg.

Step 5: Fasten the straps on the back crosswise to the red loops of the MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1®. On the sides, attach the straps in a straight line to the shirt.

Step 6: Link the sleeves together with the straps under the tail. Secure firmly to prevent movement of the sleeves.

Take a good look around the legs, neck and tail to see if there is enough room to move and breath! We recommend checking your pet regularly to make sure the shirt and sleeves are still in place.

HOW TO USE THE MPS-HLS® HIND LEG SLEEVES CORRECTLY?

The MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves are specially designed on the anatomy of dogs and can therefore only be used for dogs. The MPS-HLS® can only be used in combination with the MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1®.

Important information

The MPS-HLS® can only be used in combination with the MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1®. The MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1® has integrated loops on the rear side to attach the MPS-HLS®. The MPS-HLS® has a double layered fabric at the hips, back and front side of the sleeve and is made of stretchy Cotton/Lycra fabric. Supplied as two sleeves left and right secured with adjustable Velcro and elastic straps to aid fitting. To ensure placement both Hind Leg Sleeves need to be used. Simply connect the integrated and adjustable straps to the rear side loops of the MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1®, purchased separately.

It is important that the straps are firmly secured.

Consult your veterinarian when you want to use the MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves for medical purposes. Your veterinarian can recommend a suitable treatment. Keep monitoring your dog regularly to make sure the fit is not too tight. Keep your dog under supervision of a responsible adult at all times while using the MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves. Please consult your veterinarian if your dog’s behavior is changing or when your dog has excessive licking/chewing habits.

Washing instructions

For longer usage, it is possible that the print of the MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves and the label could fade over time. With the washing instructions below, this process can be delayed. Washing, maintaining and handling of delivered items always remains the responsibility of the customer.

Instructions:

Always turn inside out for washing.
Fasten all the press studs before washing.
We recommend using a laundry bag.
Wash the MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves up to a maximum of 90ºC/194ºF.
Never put the MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves in the dryer! Hang it out and let it air dry.
Do not iron directly over the print and never too hot.
Do not use bleach or other chemicals to clean the MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves.

Using bleach and other chemicals can cause irritations to your dog’s wound, surgical area, hotspots or more…!

Specifications

The soft double layered fabric at the hips, back and front side of sleeve is manufactured using Cotton. The rear side of sleeve is manufactured using a breathable stretchy Cotton / Lycra fabric. The MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves for dogs is toxic/lead free.

In case of overgrooming

Licking behavior can be caused by several factors, like hot spots, wounds, allergies or skin conditions. Due to excessive licking, the wound or affected area could become larger and even infected. If the dog licks one front leg, the MPS-TAZ® Single Front Leg Sleeve could be used. However, if the dog licks both front legs, the MPS-TAZ2® Double Front Leg Sleeves offer the best solution. To protect the dog’s hind legs, we have developed the MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves.

Adjustable Velcro® fastening

The MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves come with two sleeves with a Velcro® fastening at the top and one strap at the rear to be fastened under the tail to prevent the sleeves from twisting.

The two sleeves must always be worn as otherwise they will twist.

Moreover, always secure the MPS-HLS® to the MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1® as not doing so will cause the MPS-HLS® to slip down while being worn.

Loops for securing MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1®

Fasten the straps on the back of the MPS-HLS® crosswise to the red loops of the MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1®. On the sides, attach the straps in a straight line to the shirt.

Please note! The MPS-HLS® must always be worn in combination with MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1®.

Double layer soft protection

The sleeves are made of a double layer of material with an extra soft thin Polyester padding at the front for additional protection of the legs.

Elastic strap

The sleeves have an extra tight band at the end to ensure it fits snugly around the leg. The adjustable strap with small hook must be secured under the tail to prevent the sleeve from twisting.

Material specifications

The top side of the MPS-HLS® is made of 100% cotton without stretch and comes with a Velcro® strap to adjust the other sleeve to the dog’s size and secure it.

The elastic strap comes with a small metal hook and adjustable metal buckle. This allows you to secure the sleeves to the MPS-TOP Shirt 4-in-1® and adjust it to the size of the dog.

Original MPS® product

The MPS® logo is always on the right side of the MPS-HLS® Hind Leg Sleeves near the hips. The washing label also has an MPS hologram. Without the yellow logo and the hologram, it is not an original, official product of Medical Pet Shirts.
